The Russell County Animal Welfare League will resume local clinics in 2026 with one clinic being held in February, March, April, September, and October, and two clinics per month being held in May, June, July, and August.

For those who need to access spay/neuter services for their pet before the February 2026 clinic, you can purchase a voucher to be used at Casey County Veterinary Services at the link below. The voucher will cover the cost of your pet's spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and FVRCP (cat) or DHPP (dog) vaccination. The cost and services are the same as our on-site clinics in Russell County, but after purchasing the voucher, you must contact Casey County Veterinary Services to schedule your appointment, and must transport your pet to the Liberty, Ky., clinic for their appointment.

Email russellcountyanimalwelfare@gmail.com with any questions. We are a small volunteer non-profit. It may be up to seven days before we are able to respond to your email.

The Russell County Animal Welfare League
The Russell County Animal Welfare League is operated by a small group of volunteers focused on providing low-cost spay/neuter services. We do not operate a shelter and we are not a rescue. We do not have the capacity to take animals into our care. The best way to get in touch with us is by email.
